Meet Chris

Chris Knight brings decades of experience across public and private sectors, including over 14 years at a senior level within the NHS and broader health and care system.A values-led leader with a coaching style, Chris is known for his authenticity, compassion, and ability to challenge constructively.

In 2015, he was recognised by Sir Simon Stevens (then CEO of NHS England) with the Nye Bevan award for Executive Healthcare Leadership, described as:

“Very imaginative, enthusiastic, challenging self and others in a professional manner… extremely patient-centred and inclusive leadership style.”

His 35-year career has demanded resilience, adaptability, and the ability to lead others through complex change – qualities that now shape his coaching and facilitation practice.

Coaching Credentials

Chris is a certified Transformational Coach (ILM Level 7) and holds EMCC EIA Coaching Practitioner accreditation.

He coaches everyone from first-time leaders to executive directors, and is a proud panel member of the NHS Aspiring CEO and Executive Director programme.

As a skilled facilitator, he also supports team development, helping groups work through transitions and embed lasting change. Chris is part of the NHS GMTS action learning facilitation panel and regularly designs bespoke workshops with long-term impact.

“People often tell me they feel heard, supported and challenged – in just the right balance. That’s what Kairos is all about: coaching that meets you where you are, and helps you get to where you’re meant to be.”
